light
they all laughed at me
when I proclaimed
I was light
in a previous life
I crept in and out
jagged into the corner
smooth over your skin
and I was everywhere
when I was gone and
dark was king
I dreamt of tall
skyscrapers and how
I would cast them magnificent
enter the forbidden
touch what I wanted
till the end of time
